Aggregates Metering:

• Accurate pre-dosing can’t be overlooked if you want to achieve a precise hot mix quality. The generously sized ‘KESAR’ feeders are supplied with individual frequency variator controls to ensure precise dosing. Easy calibration procedure ensures you precision even after decades of use. Synchronization of feeders with actual material output ensures consistent quality product, minimal waste and reduces fuel consumption. ‘No Flow’ sensors (optional) installed on each bin with warning lights/acoustic signals keep the loader & plant operators well informed about material run out or interruption in material flow. An electronic belt weigher with a “S’ type load cell mounted under the feeding / slinger conveyor belt accurately measures aggregate feeding rates in tph.

Burner Technology:

• ‘KESAR’ plant is supplied with a standard high pressure jet burner suitable for fuels like-FO/HSD/LDO complete with fuel-line heater, filters and a high pressure pumping station. The auto control burner requiring low air and automatic temperature controls ensures you a very high fuel efficiency.

Cold Aggregate 4-Bin Feeders:

• 4-Bins of cold aggregate feeders are all-welded and modular in construction, permitting easy addition of bins to meet growing needs. Steep bin walls and valley angles allow free flow of aggregates from the feeders minimizing hold-up of materials in the corners and bridging with sticky aggregates. There is bin vibrator mounted on walls of dust bin. The bins supplied with adjustable calibrated gate openings and variable speed feeder drives together offer a total proportional control, greater flexibility and accuracy of operations. Belt scrapper perfectly cleans wet dust stick on return belt of gathering conveyor.

Dryer Drum:

• KESARs field proven Dryer drum with high aggregates drying efficiency at low maintenance cost has gained top reputation among present days asphalt batch plant manufacturers in India. 
• The drum is equipped with 4-wheel drive by gear motors. The dryer also features an unique air preheat system, which improves drying efficiency, aid power saving, reducing the thermal stresses on the drying drum and noise emissions from the burner. Two heavy trunnion tyres & 4-trunnion rollers with pressure fitted shafts have long working life which are special design features of Kesar dryer.
• The dryer burner is of high pressure jet type suitable for LDO / F.O. fuels, with automatic controls, and of proportionate (modulating) type with a wide turn down ratio. 

Hot Elevator:

• The continuous flow of dried hot aggregates discharged fro dryer is lifted onto a vibrating screen on top of batch tower by a totally enclosed bucket elevator.

• Mix Material out from Dryer Drum Unit and Load in to Truck by Load out Conveyor
• Uniform hot mix is ready for laying

Detail Process At Drum Mix Asphalt Plant:

• An asphalt road building contractor normally has four different size crushed stone stock piled close to asphalt plant.
• A front end loader operator feeds continuously each size of these aggregates one by one in four hoppers of feeder unit of plant. At the bottom of each feeder hopper there is a radial gate to proportionally discharge aggregates by required opening of this gate and by controlling speed of this auxiliary conveyor belt feeder from control panel. Each size aggregates from hopper drops onto a gathering conveyor belt which ultimately go onto a slinger conveyor. There is a load cell fitted under this slinger belt which measures aggregates flow rate in tons per hour. The oversize aggregate get rejected from a vibrating screen kept between gathering and slinger conveyors.
• The known quantity of aggregates are feed into a rotating drum of dryer unit where they are heated and dried by an oil fired burner.
• The water vapor produced during drying of aggregates along with burner flue gases is extracted out from dryer into atmosphere by an exhaust fan & chimney
• Bitumen stored separately in a tank is heated by an oil fired burner fitted on this tank and hot liquid bitumen is then pumped into dryer to mix bitumen with dried aggregates. 
• The final hot mix produced at controlled temp. is then loaded into a waiting truck by a load-out conveyor.
• The quantity of bitumen in mix is controlled by measuring pump speed in rpm.
• The coarse size dust produced during drying of aggregates in dryer is collected in a highly efficient multicone dry dust collector.
• The fine dust which escape from cyclones is then collected in a secondary venturie type wet dust collectors, wherein water is sprayed at the throat of venturie duct by fine spray nozzles and wet dust like mud is separated in a horizontally laid separator tank. It is then drained out and is settled at the bottom water settling tanks. 

Temperature control of bitumen being mixed with aggregates in dryer cum mixer and temp. of final hot mix produced.:

• % feeding of each size crushed stone aggregates and flow rate in tph
• Temperature control of bitumen being mixed with aggregates in dryer cum mixer and temp. of final hot mix produced.
• % bitumen control in final mix.
